
A JAR file is based on a Java archive file format that can contain a Java program in it. While you can use zip file extraction software such as 7zip to extract .JAR files, it will not allow you to run a full .JAR based Java application.
So, if you are having trouble opening a .jar file, you can try the methods below.
Method 1: download in Java
Step 1: Leave Google with and search Java download. Click on the first result.
Step 2: On the website download page, click download red button to download the file Java installation file.
Step 3: After completing the setup, go to the location where .glass the file is saved and double-click it to run the file.
If it doesn't open, try the second method.
Method 2: via properties
Step 1: Just right click on it and select Property give the menu answer.
Step 2: A Property window, click Modify.
Step 3: In the next window, click More apps.
Step 4: Scroll down and click Look for another app on this PC.
Step 5: It takes you to Browser on fileclick here Unit C shortcut and follow the following path step by step:
- Double click on Program files (x86)
- Double click on Java
- Double click on jre1.8.0_251
- Double click on vano
- Please select javaw
Step 6: By double clicking javaw, takes you back to Property window. Click on To apply and so ok.
Your .jar file should now open. If it still doesn't open, try the third method.
Method 3: Using Command Prompt
Step 1: Click on Home at the desk and type Symbol of the system in the search field. Right-click on the result and select Run as administrator.
Step 2: A Symbol of the system , type the following command in the following format and press Log in:
ftype jarfile="C:Program Files (x86)Javajre1.8.0_251binjavaw.exe" -jar "%1" %*
* Note - The path entered is the same path for javaw as shown in 2 method.
This should solve your problem and you can open the .jar file. However, if the problem persists, you can try the fourth method.
Method 4: creating a .bat file
Step 1: Open path and write the following text:
java -jar sample.jar
* Note - Replace the highlighted part with your file name .glass archive.
Step 2: Save the file with the name that suits you best, in the same location where .glass the file is saved, followed by . Beat extension.
For example, here we call the file as run.bat and changed the Save as type to All files.
press the Save button.
Now, double click on the file run.bat file and its file .glass The file will open smoothly.
If all of the above methods fail, try jarfix program in Google and download it. This will fix the problem immediately.
