When you try to use the webcam on your Windows 10 system, sometimes you may encounter this error "Close other applications. It looks like another app is already using a camera. The built-in camera error code 0xA00F4243 (0xC00D3704) on Windows 10 PC mainly occurs due to the interruption between two applications using the Windows 10 camera at the same time. Although you can check which app may be causing this problem in Task Manager and terminate it if you can spot it, most of the time it doesn't work.

Solution: restart the camera app
Step 1: press the Win + X keys together on the keyboard and select settings from the menu.
Step 2: A settings window, click Applications.
Step 3: It takes you to App and features section, locate the file camera the application and select it.
Click on Advanced options Right away.
Step 4: So go to Restart section and press the button Restart button below it.
Step 5: A message opens with a warning. Please read it correctly before continuing to complete the reboot process. Once confirmed, press Restart still.
Now go back and try to open the webcam and check if it works normally. If you still have the same problem then follow the second method.
Method 2: default application setting
Step 1: press the Win + X keys together on the keyboard and select settings from the menu.
Step 2: A settings window, click Applications.
Step 3: It takes you to App and features section, locate the file camera the application and select it.
Click on Advanced options Right away.
Step 4: In the next window, go to Default section and click Set default apps.
Step 5: Under the Choose your default apps, scroll down and select Set defaults according to the application.
Step 6: Then, locate the file camera application and click Manage.
Step 7: In the next window, below File type and protocol associations section, you have the option to change which app has access to the file camera.
Now close the Settings apps and try to open the camera on your system. It should work fine now.
