We all want to keep our data encrypted and safe. But unlike Mac OS X, iOS, Android, or any other operating system, Microsoft doesn't provide free encryption. Rather, it wants you to pay for an enterprise-grade encryption tool called Windows BitLocker. Microsoft Bitlocker is encryption software bundled with Windows 10 pro and later. It offers security features such as encryption of disks or any other removable drives.
Today we will see how to use it to fully encrypt your drive.
For the encryption key, you use your personal data from your Microsoft account or your Microsoft account password or it could be a strange combination of all this data in a more encrypted way.

Before starting any of the steps, you need to be absolutely sure that you are running Windows 10 Pro or later. To check this, right-click on 'What PC 'on the desktop and click property, and see the version quoted.
These are the steps on how enable full encryption in Windows 10:
Step 1:
To go Home and write ‘Bitlocker’ and click "Manage BitLocker"

Step 2:
After clicking on it, the BitLocker Drive Encryption window will appear. Depending on how many drives your computer has, for example C, D, E, F, you need to turn it on for those drives.

Or, there is another way to do the same.
Step 1: To go Home> Settings and search 'Of' and you will get a result called "About your PC". Click on this

Step 2: After clicking on it, it will take you to your computer's information page. At the bottom you will see "Bitlocker Settings".

It will then take you to the main settings window and the rest of the process is the same as before.
If this option isn't there, it probably means your PC doesn't support full encryption.
INCLINATION: If you don't have a Windows 10 pro but still want to try bitlocker to encrypt REMOVABLE drives, then there is a method you can follow without hacking into Windows 10 pro. You need to install VirtualBox or any other virtual machine software. Download Windows 10 Pro using the Microsoft recommended link https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10 and install it on your virtual machine. Then connect the removable drive to the guest OS and you can encrypt it now using the above method.
