Windows Explorer is one of the most used Windows applications. It is a stable, efficient and highly capable browser ever created for an operating system. Apple's Mac Finder is also nothing compared to Explorer. Windows Explorer has developed significantly over the period. With Microsoft doing a major overhaul on Windows 8 with the ribbon interface. But the one thing many users want is a file multi-card interface. While Microsoft may be working on it, we're not sure. So we have a solution where you can use tabs in Windows Explorer just like you use them in Chrome browser. The software we will use is called freeware Clover 3. Step 1: Download the software.
Step 2: Once the software is installed, it will be easily integrated into your Windows Explorer
Step 3: If the favorites bar bothers you, you can disable it. To do this, click the settings icon in top right corner> Bookmarks> and uncheck the Show Bookmarks bar.
Once installed and configured, the functionality of the tabs is very similar to the Chrome tabs. you can use
- Ctrl+Tab: Switch between tabs.
- Ctrl + W: Close the current tab.
- Ctr + T: Open a new tab.
- Ctrl + Maiusc + T: Restore the previously closed tab.
- Ctrl + D: Bookmark the current page.
