
Many times you may encounter this error "Windows cannot communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)"OR"Windows cannot communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)". This error appears when you suddenly disconnect from the internet and run the troubleshooter that detects this error.
This error message may appear due to the fact that the IPv4 or IPv6 settings are not configured correctly, a problem with the network settings, or because a proxy server may be running. Whatever the reason, it can be frustrating, especially if you're in the middle of a major project.
However, this error can be fixed with some effective solutions. Let's see how.
Method 1: Using Command Prompt
Step 1: Click on Home at the desk and type Symbol of the system in the search field. Right-click the result and click Run as administrator Open Symbol of the system in administrator mode.
Step 2: A Symbol of the system window, run the following command and press Log in:
netsh int ip reset
Step 3: Now, run the second command as shown below and hit Log in:
netsh winsock reset
Now exit the file Symbol of the system and restart your computer. The error should now go away and you will reconnect to the DNS server. If the problem persists, try the second method.
Method 2: through the Network and Sharing Center
Step 1: Right click on the network icon Application bar at the bottom right and click Open network and internet settings.
Step 2: A settings window, click Wi-Fi on the left. Now on the right side of the panel, scroll down and under Related settingsclick your Change the adapter options.
Step 3: Select the network you are using (here we are using Wi-Fi), right click on it and click Property.
Step 4: A Wi-Fi properties window under the Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4) and then click Property button.
Step 5: In the next dialog box, under the file general tab, click the radio button next to Ottieni automatically an IP indirizzo.
Again, click the radio button next to Obtain DNS server address automatically. Click on ok to save the changes and return the file Wi-Fi properties window.
Step 6: Now select Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP / IPv6) and click Property button.
Step 7: Follow the same steps outlined in 5 pass, Click on ok to save changes and exit.
That's all. And your network should now connect to the DNS server with no more error messages.
