The 0X000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen of death error is more common than we think. It usually occurs every 2-3 days unless the cause is resolved.
Causes
the causes behind the error
It could be a faulty device driver, a problem with the BIOS, or an interfering system service.Since we can normally access the system, we could boot the system normally more. Otherwise, we could boot the system in safe mode as suggested here.
Try the following preliminary steps:
1] Scan your system for viruses and malware, with Windows Defender or any reputable third-party antivirus.
2] Uninstall any recently installed suspicious software.
3] Update Windows and it is mentioned here.
4] Run the Blue Screen Troubleshooter. Go to Settings >> Updates & Security >> Troubleshoot >> Blue Screen. Restart the system after running the troubleshooter.
If they don't help, continue with the solutions below:
1} Update all device drivers
2} Update BIOS
3} System Restore
Note: - If you are unable to log into your system, please try the methods below by logging into Safe Mode.
Solution 1] Update all device drivers
The general procedure for updating device drivers is as follows:
1] Press Win + R to open the Run window and type the devmgmt.msc command. Press Enter to open the Device Manager window.
2] Right click and update all drivers one by one.
As it is difficult to update all drivers, we may use third party tools available online to help with the same.
Solution 2] Update BiOS
Another reason behind this problem is an unsupported BIOS. We may download and install the latest version of BiOS from the manufacturer's website.
Solution 3] Check your system for memory problems
1] Press Win + R to open the Run window and type the mdsched.exe command. Press Enter to open the Windows Memory Diagnostic window.
2] Select Restart now and check for memory problems.
This will automatically check for problems with the system.
Solution 3] System Restore
We may also restore the system to an earlier date. It would also be useful to revert to the previous drivers.
1] Press Win + R to open the Run window and type the command rstrui.exe. Press Enter to open the System Restore window.
2] Here you will find 2 options: one is the recommended restore date and time and the second is to choose a different restore point. Choose the option that suits you best and update the system.
I hope this helps!
