
Internet Explorer 11 is the latest successor to the Microsoft IE browser series. Most people still use it, but many times users when they try to start IE 11, it becomes unresponsive and generates an error message stating that Internet Explorer has stopped working. There is no single reason for this, but with the methods in this article you can easily fix this error.
Solution 1: Reset Internet Explorer 11
1. Press Windows key + r together to open run.
2. Now write inetcpl.cpl on it and click ok.
3. Click safety Tongue.
4. Click Reset all zones to their default level.
Solution 2: disable Protected Mode
1. Press Windows key + r together to open run.
2. Now write inetcpl.cpl on it and click ok.
3. Click safety Tongue.
4. Deselect Enable Protected Mode to disable protected mode
5. Click To apply and close the window.
Solution 3: Run IE 11 in no-add mode
Sometimes this problem can occur due to an annoying plugin. You can try to open IE 11 in plugin-free mode. To open IE 11 in plugin-free mode, just do this: -
1. Press Windows key + r together to open run I send.
2. Now copy and paste iexplore.exe –extoff in the text entry box and click ok.
Fix 4 - Reset Internet Explorer 11
1. Press Windows key + r together to open run.
2. Now write inetcpl.cpl on it and click ok.
3. Click Advanced Tongue.
4. Click Restart.
5. Verify Delete your personal settings.
5. Finally, click Restart.
Solution 5: disable hardware acceleration
1. Press Windows key + r together to open run.
2. Now write inetcpl.cpl on it and click ok.
3. Click Advanced Tongue.
4. Check Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering. This will disable hardware acceleration.
5. Click To apply and close this window.
Note: If all the above methods don't work, try updating your windows or try creating a new user and then log in with this new user to check if it works or not.
