Among the many known errors with network connectivity, one of the best known is:
"The remote device or resource will not accept the connection."
Cause
The cause of the error is an incorrect configuration / settings of the system's network settings. Proxy gate may be enabled or other settings may be incorrectly configured.
Interestingly, although the proxy settings are set in the browser, they are not browser specific. The changes are saved in the system and are the same for all browsers. Therefore, resetting your browser will not help solve the problem.
Try the following solutions to fix this problem:
Solution 1: disable proxy settings
1] Search Internet browser in the Windows 10 search box.
2] Right click and run as administrator.
3] Click Gear icon at the top right and open your file Internet options as shown.
4] Click Connections Eyelash.
5] Click LAN configuration.
6] Select the option Automatically detect settings.
7] Also, uncheck the option that says use a proxy server for LAN.
Solution 2: Reset Internet Explorer settings
Resetting Internet Explorer personal settings is different from resetting the browser itself. The latter would not change the settings that have been changed in the browser and set in the system itself (eg proxy settings).
1] Search Internet browser in the Windows 10 search box.
Right click e run as administrator.
Click on Gear icon at the top right and open your file Internet options as shown.
2] Go to Advanced eyelash.
3] Select the file Restart… Option at the bottom of the window. Select the option Delete your personal settings and then in Restart.
Restart the system and check if this helps to fix the problem.
Case 1: if you use Chrome
1. Open the Chrome browser.
2. Click 3 vertical points at the top right and choose settings.
3. Now find Open the proxy settings in the search box.
4. Click Open the proxy settings to open the Chrome proxy settings.
5. Then click Connections Eyelash.
6. Now click LAN configuration.
7. Now make sure that Automatically detect settings The option is selected. If not, please Control that.
8. Click OK.
Case 2: if you are using Microsoft Edge
1] Open Internet Explorer and click on the gear symbol (settings) in the upper right corner of the window.
2] Select Internet Options from the menu to open the file Internet Explorer settings and then go to Connections eyelash.
3] Click LAN settings and open the window.
4] Uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" box.
Solution 3: Use Command Prompt
1. Cerca CMD in Windows 10 Search.
2. Right-click Command Prompt and click Run as administrator.
3. Now, run these two commands one by one from the command prompt.
ipconfig/release ipconfig/renew
4. Close the Command Prompt window and try again.
Solution 4: Temporarily disable the security mechanisms
Antivirus software, firewalls, and content blockers can cause this error even if all other network settings are perfect.
1] Open your antivirus software and pause it or temporarily disable it.
2] Press Win + R to open the Run window and write Control and hit enter to open the control panel.
3] Find "Windows Defender Firewall“In the list, double-click and open it.
4] In the list on the left, select Enable or disable Windows Defender Firewall.
5] Select the radio button "Disable Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended) for both cards.
Restart the system and see if this helps to fix the problem.
Solution 4: Use Command Prompt
For systems that are joined to a domain and managed by the company, this problem can be caused by certain Group Policy settings. You can contact the network administrator to discuss the same and update the group policy once it is resolved. Keep your system connected to the wired network while updating Group Policy.
1] Press Win + R to open the Run window and then type cmd. Press Enter to open the Command Prompt window.
2] Enter the command gpupdate / force and press Enter.
3] Restart the system
We hope that when these solutions are exhausted, the problem will be solved.
