Windows updates are critical to your system and, if delayed for a long time, can slow down your computer. However, the service is not without its bugs. A known bug with Windows is:
Windows was unable to start the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is a crucial service in the system responsible for Windows updates. If it stops working, your Internet and Bluetooth connections may also be affected. Therefore, it is important to correct the error as soon as possible.
Try the following solutions one by one to fix the problem:
Solution 1] Manually change the status of the services
If the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) does not start automatically, we could try to start it manually and check if it remains so, however this idea generally fails.
1] Press Win + R and open the file career window. Write the command services.msc and press Enter to open the Services window.
2] In the alphabetically sorted list, find Smart fund transfer service. Right-click on it and select Property.
3] Change the file Start type to Manual and Status of the service to Home.
Two other services that matter are Network Location Awareness and Network List. Check if its status is Running. If not, start them manually.
Solution 2] Scan our system for malware
A virus is one thing and generic malware is another. If you are having trouble starting the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), try scanning your system with an antivirus program that offers comprehensive protection.
Solution 3] Change startup type
1] Press Win + R to open the Run window. Write the command msconfig and press Enter. Open the System configuration.
2] On the General tab, change the radio button to Selective startup.
3] Deselect Load startup items.
4] Click ok Y Curriculum vitae the system.
I hope this helps!
