Windows provides some predefined toolbars that can be accessed through the Windows taskbar. One of these toolbars is the desktop toolbar. The desktop toolbar displays each of the icons located on the desktop screen. All these files / folders / applications can be accessed without double clicking on the desktop icon.
It also includes the other important sections of your computer like startup items, recycle bin, control panel, library, network, homegroup, etc.
In this article, we will follow some steps on how to add desktop toolbar in windows 10:
Step 1:
Right-click on the Windows taskbar. Go to "Toolbars" and click on the "Desktop" toolbar.
Step 2:
The desktop toolbar will appear on the Windows taskbar, but the icons will not appear on the Windows taskbar. Therefore, it can only be accessed with the help of the “» “icon.
Step 3:
To show some of the icons, you need to check if the Windows taskbar is locked or not.
If the taskbar is pinned, you can remove it by right-clicking on the Windows taskbar and clicking “Lock Taskbar”.
Then, the Windows taskbar will be unlocked.
Step 4:
You can now drag the toolbar onto pinned icons on the Windows taskbar. The toolbar items will now also appear on the taskbar. Just click on these items to access the applications.
Note: You can use the desktop toolbar more efficiently by using a minimum number of “desktop icons” and “software” on your computer.
