How to block a person on Gmail from their computer
Log into your Gmail account and open an email sent by the person you are trying to block.
Find the down arrow in the upper right corner of the mail window next to the reply icon, and click on it.
Select 'Block (sender) 'and confirm in the pop-up by clicking on'block'.
The intended person will be blocked, and all emails sent by them will land in spam. You won't see any of their emails in your inbox and you certainly won't be notified.
How to unlock?
In case you have had second thoughts about the aforementioned person's block or you have accidentally blocked someone, don't worry.
Just go to an email from the blocked person, click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the mail and select 'Unblock (sender)'.
Confirm unblocking on the pop-up window and all emails from this sender will appear in your inbox and will not be marked as spam.
How to block a person on Gmail on Android
Blocking someone on Gmail via your Android device is as simple as blocking via a PC. First, you need to log into the Gmail app and open an email sent by the person you are trying to block.
Tap the three-dot menu you see at the top right of the mail.
Select 'Block (sender)' from the drop-down menu. You will receive an onscreen notification that the sender has been blocked and all their emails will be sent directly to the spam folder.
How to unlock?
Unlocking on Android is the same process for a computer.
Just go to an existing sender mail, tap on the three-dot menu and select 'Unblock (sender)' from the drop-down menu.
How to block a person on Gmail on iOS
Unfortunately, blocking on Gmail using an iPhone or iPad is not possible.
If you are using Gmail on iOS, then your best bet is to log into Gmail via your computer or device browser by doing the 'Request Desktop Version' when on the Gmail page.
