You may want to change the color of the taskbar for several reasons, perhaps to match your background or, on the contrary, to make it stand out and contrast it with the wallpaper you have chosen. Whatever the reason you want to do this, in this short guide we show you the steps to follow to change the color of the taskbar in Windows 11.
How to change the color of the taskbar
First of all, right-click on the Windows icon on the taskbar and select "Settings" (alternatively, you can use the "Windows + i" keyboard shortcut). Now open the subsection "Personalization" and go to "Colors".
In "Colors", go to the option “Choose the mode” and select “Custom”.
Subsequently, in "Choose the default Windows mode" set "Dark" (while in "Choose the default mode of the app" you can also leave "Light", as it does not affect the color of the taskbar).
At this point, it is necessary choose the desired color in the "Personalization"> "Colors" section. If you don't like the ones in the default grid, just click on "View colors" next to "Custom colors" to define a new one.
