While working on your computer, if the audio isn't working properly, you may miss important online meetings with your colleagues, a video chat with your friend, or not upload a well-done video tutorial. Therefore, before starting your important tasks, make sure your microphone is working properly.
Let's see how to check if the microphone on your Windows 10 system is working and is also recording correctly.
Method 1: via the settings app
Step 1: Click on Home on the desktop and select settings in the context menu, located above the file energia option.
Step 2: A settings window, click Ease of access option.
Step 3: Then on the left side of the window, scroll down and click Audio.
Now, on the right side of the panel, under the Make your device easy to listen to section, click Change other audio settings.
Step 4: A Sound dialog box, click Recordings tab, select Microphone and click Setting up button at the bottom.
Step 5: A Control Panel window that opens, click Start voice recognition on the right.
Step 6: This will open the file Set up voice recognition window. Click The next.
Step 7: Then select Other and click The next.
Step 8: Again, click The next.
Step 9: In the next window, read the sentence aloud as shown on the screen to test the microphone. When done, click The next.
Step 10. You have finished configuring the file Microphone. Now you can click Cancel in the next window, or continue configuring advanced features such as improving the computer's ability to recognize spoken words by allowing the computer to review documents.
You can now start using your computer's microphone normally. You can also configure the microphone using the second method.
Method 2: via the control panel
Step 1: Click on Home at the desk and type Control Panel in the search field. Click on the result to open it Control Panel house.
Step 2: A Control Panel home, click Ease of access.
Step 3: Click on Vocal recognition on the right.
Step 4: Now follow the same process up to 5 pass to 10 pass as shown in 1 method.
You have finished configuring the microphone and your system audio should now work correctly. You can also follow the third method for a quick setup.
Method 3: via the sound icon on the taskbar
Step 1: Go to the speaker icon located in the lower right corner of the file Application bar. Right-click on it and click Sounds.
Step 2: It takes you to the same Sound dialog box as shown in 4 pass starting from 1 method. From there, follow the process up to 4 pass to 10 pass as shown in 1 method.
