By default, the Windows operating system has a double-click set as the method for opening files and folders. But that doesn't mean it's a universal choice. Many people tend to prefer the one-click method of opening folders or files.
They just want the file or folders to open immediately when they click on them. So here in this article, you can find out how to set up one-click folder opening in Windows 10.
Enable one-click opening of files / folders in Windows 10
Step 1: Go to File Browser opening This PC or My Computer.
Step 2: Once there, click on see then click on Folder Options (Change folder options)
Step 3: Now choose one click to open an article as an option.
Note: There are two options when choosing a single click to open items in Windows 10.
- Underline icon titles compatible with my browser
- Underline icon titles only when you point them.
The second option is selected by default. In my opinion, the second default option is better as the underlined titles will not have an aesthetic look and also once you point the cursor on the folder it will indicate that the cursor has reached the item and it will also be easy to use. but the choice is yours.
So this is the way to enable changing folder and file open settings with one click in Windows 10. Hope you liked the article.
