Over the past decade, most users have insisted on using wired networks (aka cables) to access the Internet. Now, as the number of mobile devices increases, more and more people are using wireless networks to access the Internet.
In this article, we will emphasize situations where the wireless connection is unresponsive or not working properly. We will also try the following steps to troubleshoot "Wireless Network" problems in Windows 10:
Step 1:
Right click on the “Start” icon located in the lower left corner of the screen. Click on "Control Panel".
Step 2:
When selecting "Category View", click "System and Security".
Step 3:
Click on "Administrative Tools". It provides various functions such as IT services, computer management, system configuration, task scheduling, etc.
Step 4:
Double click on "Services". It includes several "startup types" which can be enabled automatically or manually.
Step 5:
Scroll down and find "Automatic WLAN Setup". Right-click on “Automatic WLAN Configuration” and click on “Properties”.
Note: The WLAN autoconfiguration service uses the IEEE 802.X standards. This service configures the settings for accessing the Internet. A wireless adapter must be installed to access this feature.
Step 6:
In the "Startup type" section, select "Automatic".
Step 7:
After selecting “Automatic”, click “OK” to save these settings.
Now you can diagnose the hardware configuration of the Internet (i.e. the wireless adapter) so that Windows automatically configures the wireless network settings.
Step 8:
Go back to the control panel, click on “Network and Internet”.
Step 9:
Click on "Network and Sharing Center".
Step 10:
In the submenus on the left, click on “change adapter settings”.
Step 11:
Right click on “Wireless Network Connection”. Click "Diagnostics" to allow Windows to automatically apply other network settings.
Note: The "Diagnosis" function helps you to reset the "Windows adapter settings", "access points" and solve other wireless network problems.
