
Microsoft Office versions 2019/2016/2013 come with various built-in features that are useful for users while working on a task. However, they also come with their own set of problems.
For example, having so many functions in an app can often cause it to crash, freeze, or slow down. And apparently the root of this problem is the graphics acceleration of the hardware. While this feature allows your device hardware to perform graphics functions to improve performance, it can also cause some of your applications to run slow, one of which is MS Office.
However, the good news is that this can be easily fixed. Let's see how.
Method 1: via MS Office options
Step 1: Open any MS Office application. For example, let's open MS Word Here. Now, click on the file archive top left tab.
Step 2: In the context menu that opens, select Choices Towards the bottom.
Step 3: A Word options select the window Advanced tab on the left. Now, on the right side of the panel, go to Monitor section and check the box next to Disable hardware graphics acceleration.
Click ok to save changes and exit.
Restart your PC for the changes to take effect and your MS Office should run smoothly now. If the problem persists, try the second method.
Method 2: use Registry Editor
Step 1: press the Tasto Windows + R to open the file run box. Now Write Regedit in the search field and press Log in to open the file Registry Editor window.
Step 2: A Registry Editor Window, please go to the below path according to yours Office version:
For MS Office 2010 - HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice.0CommonGraphics
For MS Office 2013 - HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice.0CommonGraphics
For MS Office 2016 - HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice.0CommonGraphics
Here we are using Office 2016 and then we enter the third path as shown above:
* Note - It's his Graphics the key is missing under the Common folder, follow the steps below to create the key e Valore DWORD (32 bit) under it.
Step 3: Right-click on Common folder, select Newand click Key.
Step 4: Now, rename the new one Key like Graphics.
Step 5: Now, right click on the blank space on the right, click Newand then select Valore DWORD (32 bit) in the submenu.
Step 6: Then rename the new one Valore DWORD (32 bit) similar field Disable hardware graphics acceleration.
Step 7: Now continue from Step 2. Double click on the file Disable hardware graphics acceleration on the right.
Step 8: A Change value box that appears, change the value of 0 to 1 a Valuable data field and press ok to save changes and exit.
Now restart your PC for the changes to take effect. Any problems with the MS Office application should be fixed now.
