Microsoft has created a useful feature in Windows 10 known as offline maps. You can choose to download a certain city, a country or an entire continent (it depends on your data plan and your patience) and then you can use that map even when you don't have an internet connection. This can be a life-saving feature for travelers planning to visit a third world country who are unsure of their data connectivity. The size is compressed to save space on your PC. For example, the map data size of France is approximately 1GB. With today's laptops equipped with terabytes of hard drives, storing just a few GB of useful maps isn't a bad idea. Let's see how we can use it.
