It can be frustrating when your computer suddenly reboots while you were working on something. Worse still, it doesn't even give you the option to save work in progress. Finally, when you see the blue screen with the error code 0x00000133, it can be a terrifying situation. This is the DPC watchdog violation error that you may find difficult to fix.
The error could also be due to the system not supporting the firmware or hardware driver or when there is a discrepancy between two software applications. However, this problem can be easily solved. Let's see how.
Method: use Device Manager
Step 1: Right-click on Home on desktop> select Device administrator give the menu answer.
Step 2: A Device administrator window> go to IDE ATA / ATAPI controller > expand it> right click on Controller SATA AHCI standard > select Property give the menu answer.
Step 3: A Property window> driver tab> click Update Driver button.
Step 4: The next > click on Search my computer for driver software. This will search for the updated driver on your computer.
Step 5: Next> select Let me choose from the list of drivers available on my computer.
Step 6: In the next window> select the file Model shown> in our case, we select Controller SATA AHCI standard > click The next.
Step 7: Wait for the drivers to be installed.
Step 8: Once completed, you will be prompted to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Close the message and restart your computer.
That is! Now, you should no longer see the DPC watchdog violation error.
