
Do you have a Gmail address, but now you want all mail coming in on it to be forwarded to another email address and you don't know how? Here is the procedure for forwarding Gmail emails to another email address.
This process will allow you to manage all mail arriving at your @ gmail.com address through another email account.
Forward Gmail email to another email address
Enable email forwarding in Gmail
- Go through the browser on your computer to the account you want to forward the emails from.
- Click on the cogwheel icon at the top left and select settings.
- Click on the tab Forwarding and POP / IMAP at the top.
- In the Forwarding section, click Add a forwarding address.
- Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
- Click on NEXT and then Proceed and then OK.
- It will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link contained in the message.
- Go back to the settings page for the Gmail account you want to forward messages from and refresh the browser page.
- Click the Forwarding and POP / IMAP tab.
- In the “Forwarding” section, select Forward a copy of your inbox to.
- Choose what to do with the copy of the emails in Gmail. We recommend that you keep a copy in your Inbox.
- Click on Save Changes At the bottom of the page.
Done now all the emails that will arrive at your address @ Gmail.com will be forwarded to the email address you entered in the forwarding form previously.
Disable email forwarding on Gmail
You can disable the forwarding of your Gmail emails whenever you want, so as to normally receive your mail only through the Google email service. Here is the procedure to disable the forwarding of emails on Gmail.
- Go through the browser on your computer to the account you want to forward the emails from.
- Click on the cogwheel icon at the top left and select settings.
- Click on the tab Forwarding and POP / IMAP at the top.
- In the 'Forwarding' section, click Disable forwarding.
- At the bottom, click Save Changes.
Done now, the service has been deactivated and you will only receive the emails on your Google account, without diverting them to another address.
