
Whenever you need to insert images into a Word page that are not on your hard drive, you can get them from an Internet source and include them in your Word document. After including the images, you can perform various editing options on the images to get a better view of the word page.

In this article, we will follow some steps on how to insert a picture from an online source into Microsoft Word 2016:
Step 1:
Type “word 2016” into the Windows search bar located next to the Start icon. Click on the first option provided.
Step 2:
Click the "Insert" tab located in the upper left corner of the "Word" window. After clicking, a ribbon toolbar will appear which provides numerous options such as page options, tables, illustrations, symbols etc. Click "Online Pictures".
After clicking, a window will appear on the screen saying “Please wait while we load images”.
Step 3:
Now, an image insertion window will appear on the screen. You can use sources like bing.com or OneDrive linked to your Microsoft account to get images. For example, we searched for “natural” images from Bing Image Search by clicking the Search icon button in the command line box.
Note: You can also use social networking sites like Flickr and Facebook to access images from their respective accounts.
Step 4:
To select an image, click on one of the desired images and click the “Insert” button to include it on the word page. For example, we have selected an image of a tree.
Therefore, the image is inserted into the word page. Now you can reduce or expand the size of the image. You can also rotate the image using the “rotate” icon located at the top of the image.
