
Windows Explorer or File Explorer is the file manager used by Windows that allows users to manage files, folders and network connections and also helps to find files and their related components. It has evolved tremendously over time to support new features that are not limited to file management, such as playing audio and video and launching various programs. It is an essential graphics file management utility for the Windows operating system. It was originally introduced with Windows 95 and later became known as File Explorer. Whenever a user attempts to access a disk or open a folder containing files, Windows Explorer is in use.
The main purpose of this file management utility is to allow users to conveniently work with files and directories located on any connected disk.
Explorer.exe is the Windows Explorer user shell. Explorer.exe is also used on the desktop, Start menu, taskbar, etc. It is located on the C drive in the C: Windows folder. Whenever the explorer.exe process is terminated, the desktop goes blank and then reopens. To update explorer.exe, you need to restart it.
The following methods will allow you to restart explorer.exe so that it can be updated.
Method 1:
Step 1: Write Task Manager in the Windows search bar. Then click Task Manager option displayed at the top of the search results.
Alternatively, you can open career function by pressing Tasto Windows + R. Then write launchtm o taskmgr a career Tab and then click ok.
Step 2: Go to Processes Tab and select Windows Explorer. Then click Curriculum vitae.
Method 2:
The following method can also be used to restart explorer.exe using the command prompt.
Step 1: Write Symbol of the system o cmd in the Windows search bar. Right click on Symbol of the system displayed at the top of the search results. Then click Run as administrator of the list.
Step 2: You must first stop the explorer.exe process. To do this, type the following command:
taskkill / f / im explorer.exe
You will then need to start the explorer.exe process. To do this, type the following command:
start explorer.exe
