In this article, we will follow some steps on how to set up an email account in Microsoft Outlook 2016:
Step 1:
Type “outlook 2016” in the Windows search bar located next to the Start icon. Click on the first option provided.
Step 2:
If you haven't set up Outlook 2016 or are using it for the first time, a setup wizard will appear on the screen asking you to set up your email account.
To start the Outlook 2016 configuration, click on the “Next” button.
Step 3:
Select the "yes" radio button to allow Outlook to connect to an email account.
Click "Next" to continue.
Step 4:
Enter a name for your email account. Enter your email address and password in the command line boxes provided.
After completing these details, click "Next" to continue.
Note: If you want to set up a POP or IMAP email account, select the "Manual setup or additional server types" radio button, then click "Next" for the rest of the process.
Now, Outlook 2016 will search for the mail server settings by establishing network connection to your email account.
Step 5:
As soon as Outlook 2016 connects to your email account, you are asked to enter your email password.
The connection made to your e-mail account is an encrypted process. Therefore, it is reliable and safe.
Simply enter your password and click "OK" to continue.
Finally, the email account is established in your Outlook 2016. You can access all the features and functionality of Outlook 2016 on your system.
