The timer is a special feature of the clock which is used to set a predetermined time interval. Timers run over a measurement time period. When the clock reaches the set duration, it indicates the time with the use of a beep or notification. By the day, timers are practically very useful.
Unlike previous versions of Windows, Windows 10 offers the “Timer” function in its “Alarm and clock” application.
In this article, we will follow some steps on how to use the Timer function in Windows 10:
Step 1:
Click on the “Start” icon located in the lower left corner of the screen. Click on “All applications”.
Note: All apps contain store apps and desktop apps installed on Windows 10.
Step 2:
Scroll down and click on the "Alarms & Clock" app.
Step 3:
Click on the 'Timers' tab located at the top of the 'Alarm & Clock' application window.
A default timer will be displayed on the screen as 00:15:30, where 00 are hours, 15 minutes and 30 seconds respectively.
The timer has options like “Start” to start the timer and “Expand” to make it full screen.
If you click full screen, it will display full screen as shown in the screenshot below:
Step 4:
If you want to add a desired timer, click the plus “+” button located in the lower right corner of the “Alarm and clock” window.
Step 5:
Enter a name for the timer. Select the duration of the timer in hours, minutes and seconds respectively. Scroll through the desired minute, hour, and hour values, then click to select them in the appropriate column. Finally, click on the sign icon as shown.
Click the "Save" icon to save the timer. It is located in the lower right corner of the application window.
6 pass - Now click the play button to start the timer alarm.
After the desired time, the sound notification will notify the end of the timer time.
Note: The “…” icon located in the lower right corner of the screen provides options such as adding the “Alarms and Clock” application to the system tray, comments about the application and details about the application.
