Knowing the Windows 10 version and build number can be especially helpful when you are the administrator of more than one computer and need to troubleshoot them quite frequently. While opening the correct system settings window isn't a difficult job, doing it repeatedly for all devices can be difficult after a point.
But luckily, there is a shortcut to this process where you can view the Windows version and build number on your laptop, permanently. Let's see how.
Solution: via the registry editor
Step 1: press the Tasto Windows + R to open the file run box. Now Write Regedit in the search field and press Log in to open the file Registry Editor window.
Step 2: A Registry Editor window, go to the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop
Step 3: A Edit DWORd (32-bit) value dialog box, edit the file Valuable data field of 0 to 1. Press ok to save changes and exit.
Now, restart your PC and you will see the Windows version and build number, above the taskbar at the bottom right of the desktop.
