Microsoft first released Windows 8 in hopes of making Windows a more mobile, versatile and portable operating system. It seems Microsoft hasn't given up hope that with the new Windows 10. Tablets and other laptops that support Windows 10 can easily access cellular networks. as they have all the necessary hardware requirements.
Many manufacturers introduced SIM card slots in Windows 10 tablets and laptops sometime later and with the release of Windows 8. Since then, people have started using and loving this new feature on their beloved workstation. Microsoft has simply improved this user experience through hood improvements with the operating system and a leaner, more user-friendly experience when connecting to a cellular network.
The ability to connect to a cellular network gives you unlimited possibilities to access data on the machine. You can watch movies, videos, pictures, browse, check your mail, download programs, listen to music and access all the other possibilities online.
Tips: Even if your laptop or tablet doesn't have a SIM card slot, you can get your hands on a broadband modem and use it to connect to cellular networks in Windows 10.
Final report: You must also have a valid and functional SIM card inserted into your tablet or laptop before following this procedure or connecting and recognizing the portable broadband modem from your PC, whichever is the case.
Final report: You will definitely need a data plan from your carrier to access data on the cellular network.
How do you first connect your Windows 10 PC to a cellular network?
There are two ways to do this.
1 method
1- Click the Start button and open the Start menu.
2- Select the configuration.
3- Click on Network and Internet in the center of the window.
4- In the left panel, you will see different connection options, choose Cellular.
5- After clicking on Mobile, the right panel will show your options.
6- Among the options, find and click on -Show available connections.
7- This will take you to the network access, with the list of available networks.
8- Select the one you prefer and click on Connect.
You have now connected your machine to a cellular network 🙂
2 method
1- Click the network icon in the taskbar at the bottom, in the lower right corner.
2- In the right pane now open, select cellular networks.
3- This will now open Settings.
4- Select Network and Internet and then click Mobile.
5- Now you can choose your preferred cellular network and click Connect.
6- If the network is protected by your username and password, or APN, you will be prompted for your details, enter them when this happens.
You are now connected to your cellular network.
