On March 6th, Toei Animation announced that she had been victim of a hacker attack which caused the suspension of part of the transmission systems, effectively blocking the broadcasting of many programs, including One Piece. In the last few hours, Toei officially announced that the One Piece anime will return in April 2022.
After the hacker attack against Toei Animation, One Piece returns to the screens after six weeks of absence. The anime will return on April 17, 2022 with episode 1014, after the broadcasting of summary episodes and reruns. In any case, the special episode entitled Wano Country Best Selection.
However, One Piece wasn't the only anime to have been put on hiatus. In fact, Toei also discontinued anime like Dragon Quest, Digimon e Delicious Party Precure. In the statement, the Japanese firm announced that Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai will resume on April 16 with episode 73, Digimon Ghost Game will return on April 17 with episode 22, while Delicious Party Precure will continue on the same day from the sixth episode.
According to what reported by Anime News Network, Toei Animation should also air the new Dragon Ball movie, or Dragon Ball Super: Superhero, although it hasn't announced an official release date yet. The release in Japan of the second film dedicated to the Dragon Ball Super series was originally scheduled for April 22, 2022, but at the moment it has been postponed until a later date.
