When you buy a PC or laptop with Windows pre-installed, it is usually present on the device a Genuine Microsoft Label (GML) which displays the OS logo and indicates that this is a real and original product. With the arrival of Windows 11, obviously, the label has also been renewed Genuine Microsoft Label which will be applied to devices that will have natively installed the new operating system.
As you can see in this video, the new sticker portrays the Windows 11 logo against the iconic background of the new operating system. The label is capable of change color and almost come alive thanks to a 3D effect that is activated by moving the sticker under the light, like a torch or the sun's rays. This is very reminiscent of the old Windows and Intel stickers and the technique used takes users back to the past years, when they used to find cards or stickers with this effect, like those that were inside the chips.
There is a version of the GML label intended for the channel Education, differentiated by the wording "For Education" on the sticker.
Windows 11 will be officially out in a few weeks. Microsoft is expected to release the Windows 11 update in the third or fourth week of October and some believe it will release the 19 October.
Heard MS might announce the GA date for Windows 11 in the next week or two. Sign-off on a "final build" expected in mid-Sept. If I were a betting man, I'd wager October 19 is the GA date… guess we'll see soon enough.

If so, then in October we will see the rollout of Windows 11 only in select select systems and some new PCs and laptops that may hit the market around that time. Subsequently, at the beginning of the 2022, Windows 11 will be rolled out on a large scale via an update in Windows Update that will be available for all devices compatible with the new operating system.
Here is the list of minimum requirements to be able to install Windows 11:
- CPU: con two or more 64-bit 1GHz cores or greater and that are part of the list of compatible processors;
- RAM: 4GB or greater;
- Storage: a space of at least is required 64GB;
- GPU: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later, with WDDM 2.0 driver;
- Firmware: UEFI;
- TPM 2.0;
- Display: at least 720p and at least 9 ”.
