Pokémon Legends: Arceus, latest title developed by Game Freak and released last 28st January, has an obvious graphics problem. While it is getting very popular with gamers, the technical sector it is stagnant and not at the height of 2022.
Some people just can't let go of the flaws that wobbly graphics put in place, so the web against to try to improve it (and they are working). In these fanmade changes the Pokémon can revert to move smoothly, without the 3 fps they show off when, for example, flapping their wings from afar, and the game world avoids appearing and disappearing as you move across the map.
A recent upload, by the YouTuber PurpleThunderNE, shows how the modding scene is improving Pokémon Legends: Arceus, through both visual and quality updates. Many of these mods are still in development, but the work done so far has been impressive.
Besides superior quality texture, greater distance in the display of elements in the external environment, a more beautiful sky and new water effects, PurpleThunderNE also shows elements that improve gameplay. The latter include, for example, collectibles, more sensible controls, the ability to swim longer without drowning after just a few seconds, increased speed while climbing cliffs and other very interesting things.
One of the various mods scattered around the web even shows the modification of the anonymous brownish bag with a fashionable bag of Louis vuitton. Another swapped the color combinations of Dialga and Palkia, in their alternative forms.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus has sparked numerous debates since the announcement. Fans were torn between the relief of an innovative project within the franchise and the disappointment of a backward and disappointing technical sector. Game Freak seems to have plans to long support the game, so much so that there is talk of a first (but may not be the only) DLC coming out soon.
