With the rise of online fraud and unwanted logins, online privacy has become extremely important these days. Nowadays we tend to save our card details, keep wallets online, store important official data and much more on our systems without knowing that these details and your online activity are prone to cyber and hacker attacks.
Therefore, some users prefer to use proxy servers to browse securely. A proxy server is an intermediate server that keeps users disconnected from the websites they visit. It works more like a filter and firewall that ensures that only safe data reaches you, thus protecting you from all the bad things happening on the internet.
However, sometimes when you try to remove it, the proxy server won't shut down on your Windows 10 PC. This may be due to a virus and it may be difficult to disable it. We have created some fixes that can help you solve the problem. Let's see how.

Step 1: press the Win + me hotkeys together on the keyboard to open the file settings application.
Step 2: A settings application, click Network and internet.
Step 3: Then on the left side of the panel, scroll down and click Lawyer.
Step 4: Then on the right side, under the Automatic proxy configuration section, activates the file Automatically detect settings option.

This should disable your proxy server, however if it still doesn't work you can try the next method.
