Some Windows 10 users report a shutdown problem on their device. During system shutdown, the computer displays a black screen even when the device should be completely shut down. Users can completely shut down their devices simply with the power button. This problem typically occurs when Windows closes the Intel Management Engine interface to save power on the device. Note: - If you are unable to boot the system, please try to go to safe mode via the automatic repair screen by following the steps in this article.
Fix-1 Don't let your computer turn off IMEI-
1. You just have to press Windows toee the 'Rkey on the keyboard.
2. Now you need to type "devmgmt.msc". Finally, click on "all right”Open Utility Device Administrator.
3 Now, in the Device Administrator window, expand "System devices"And then on the expanded list, double click in "Intel (R) Management Engine Interface".
3. In the Intel (R) Management Engine Interface Properties window, go to “Energy management“tab.
4. Now, uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"And click"all right”To save the changes.
Close the Device Administrator window.
Turn off your computer and check if you still see the black screen. If the problem continues to bother you, find the next solution.
Fix-2 Change what the power button does-
1. Press Tasto Windows + R have lunch Run window and enter this command in the Run window window.
powercfg.cpl
2. Then press Pay in.
3. Now, on the left side of the Power Options window, click on “Choose what the power buttons do".
4. Now in the System Settings window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailableme”.
5. After doing that, what you should do is select the option "Enable Quick Start (Recommended)"
6. Click on 'Save the changes”To save the changes on your computer.
To turn off computer and check if the black screen is still displayed or not. If you see that the black screen is still there, look for the next solution.
Solution 3: Using autorun, find the culprit program
1. Download and run Microsoft Official Website Autostart on your computer.
2. Now unzip the downloaded file.
3. Click Autorun.exe to run it.
4. Click Options.
5. Now click hide Microsoft entries.
6. Now try deselecting one item at a time and check its impact by trying to deactivate again.
7. This way you can find the culprit program.
Fix-4 Update your graphics driver / display driver-
1. To open the Device Administrator window, you need to press'Windows key + X'
2. Then click on "Device administrator".
3. Now, in the Device Administrator window, search for "To exhibit adapters“From the list, click on it to expand it.
4. Now from the drop down menu the right mouse button on him graphic driver (Example: “NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti” for our system) you are using and then click on “Update Driver".
3. As soon as a message appears asking 'How do you want to find the drivers?' "Automatically searches for updated driver software".
Leave the rest of the process to Windows.
4. If you see that the latest version of the driver is already installed, click on "Check for updated drivers in Windows Update".
Now close the Device Administrator window.
Take up again computer to complete the installation process.
After rebooting, you shouldn't see black screen on your computer.
