Haven Studios, software house founded in 2021 by Jade Raymond, was officially bought by Sony today. For the uninitiated, Raymond was the founder of Ubisoft Toronto and Motive Studios and contributed to the creation of two historic videogame franchises, that is Assassin’s Creed e Watchdog.
This is extraordinary news and it certifies the ambitions of Sony which, with the acquisition of Port and with that of Housemarque last year, he doesn't want to stand by and watch the competitor Microsoft and, indeed, to relaunch with a mouth-watering blow that will make all users of the consoles produced by the Japanese company happy.
Sony has decided to buy the software house of Jade Raymond for the extraordinary experience this would bring to the development of multiplayer AAA titles. In particular, in the press release that formalized the marriage between the two realities, we read that Haven is working on a new original IP for the Japanese giant and we can't wait to find out what it is.
The same intervened on the acquisition Raymond which expressed itself as follows:

In short, these are very high premises and the hype that reigns around this acquisition is a lot. We can't wait, therefore, to find out what this new IP will be and to play it as soon as possible.
