With a tweet that appeared on the game's official Twitter profile, CD Projekt RED announced that the next-gen version of their masterpiece, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it was postponed until a later date, with updates that will be proposed to us "as soon as possible".
According to what was declared in the social post, the studio decided to entrust the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 to an internal team, and after evaluating the amount of work still to be done, the decision was made to postpone. the release which was instead scheduled for Q2 this year.
Clearly this version of the game is highly anticipated by fans, not only by those who had the opportunity to enjoy the game at the time of the original release, but also those who approached the brand at a later time (perhaps even through the release. of the TV series on Netflix).
We have decided to have our in-house development team conduct the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. We are currently evaluating the scope of work to be done and thus have to postpone Q2 release until further notice. 1/2

However, this choice could be linked not only to the amount of work still to be done at Projekt, but perhaps also due to - or thanks to - the newfound awareness of the studio and publisher that in order to offer players a quality product, very often count with time (the Polish studio was the protagonist of the well-known unpleasant events concerning Cyberpunk 2077 and its disastrous launch, only to have to run for cover).
For now we only know that the studio apologizes for the further wait, but thanks us for understanding. If in the next few days (but more likely it will be weeks) there are further updates regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its arrival with great fanfare on next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 e Xbox series, we will not hesitate to inform you.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most loved games of recent years, which boasts dozens of awards in its curriculum, including the most coveted of all in the field of video games: the Game of the year.
