Ukraine asks Elon Musk for help in the war, Starlink arrives

Author and references

The situation in Ukraine still seems to be bad, so much so that the minister of digital transformation addressed Elon Musk directly. Mykhailo Fedorov began this way:

While SpaceX tries to colonize Mars, Russia tries to occupy Ukraine. While your rockets successfully land from space, Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civilians.

So he roars on Twitter, with a post that leaves no room for analysis. But this was only the starting point, considering and considering that the discussion continued:

We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink and appeal to the healthy part of Russia.

Elon Musk's response was not long in coming:

Starlink is now accessible from Ukraine, many more satellite receivers are coming soon.

Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route.

For those who are not aware of anything, the satellite internet of Stalink offers very important advantages, but the most basic ones and which, fortunately, cannot be subjected to disruption and sabotage campaigns by hackers. This would prevent Russia from intervening on US servers, as there would be a risk of further increasing the scope of the conflict.

In 2022 it seems that even the way of fighting wars has changed, given that many platforms are blocking their functions to Russia, and of course we're talking about YouTube (more details in our dedicated news that you can find here). Unfortunately, we do not know now how things will evolve, but we just have to embrace the Ukrainian people and await further news.

Certainly, if so many companies began to penalize Russia, the nation would find itself hit on several sides and almost "isolated" from the rest of the world. We hope that everything will be resolved quickly, given that certain scenes in 2022 really hurt so much, and this climate of perennial tension does not help anyone.
