Snapchat, the ghost app, has really been a great success, becoming one of the most used social networks among geeks. However, many have not yet fully understood how it works. If you are also part of this circle, feel free to read our guide to understand what Snapchat is and how it works.
What is Snapchat and how it works
What is Snapchat? It is a messaging application launched in 2011. A particular feature of it makes it famous: the social app allows you to share photos and short films (snap, in jargon) that disappear, destroying themselves automatically, shortly after being received by the recipient.
Their duration can be programmed for a maximum of 10 seconds allowed. Images and videos appear to the recipient but only last for the time set by the sender.
Clips and photos can also be saved and inserted in the "stories" section, which opens with a tap on the icon at the bottom right or by sliding your finger from right to left from the home screen, where they remain visible for a period longer than 24 hours.
How is a snap made? Once you have launched the application, just press the button at the bottom center of the device to take a photo or selfie. To create a video, on the other hand, simply hold it down.
And to apply filters, such as those of Instagram? Simple, just swipe from right to left until you find the desired effect, while to type the captions you will have to press anywhere on the screen and drag the text according to the point where you want to position it.
