I Windows 11 minimum requirements are one of the "hot" topics related to the new Microsoft operating system, since its official announcement. The American house has set requirements that are all in all accessible to be able to access the operating system but some obstacles, such as limited support for recent CPUs, have excluded millions of PCs from the list of supported devices.
As you may know it is possible to install Windows 11 on unsupported PCs, but Microsoft seems intent on make it clear when a device running Windows 11 is not within the minimum requirements set by the company for its operating system. The latest build of the Windows Insider program, in fact, records the introduction of a watermark at the bottom right of the screen (next to the build number) where the failure to comply with the minimum requirements.
Note that the indication relating to the device not meeting the minimum requirements of Windows 11 by the device also appears in the System section from the menu Settings, below the PC name. The watermark, at least for the moment, seems decidedly less invasive than the one present on inactive copies of Windows, which, moreover, always remains in the foreground.
The presence of the watermark could be an element exclusive to insider builds and not the next stable versions of Windows 11. Certainly, the issue of minimum requirements will continue to be central in the future of Microsoft's operating system. The American house has no plans to back down.
The minimum requirements of Windows 11 will not be changed to expand the number of compatible PCs e they cannot be ignored. For users with a PC that does not meet the system requirements there will be the option to upgrade to Windows 11, but with the knowledge that official compatibility with the operating system will not exist and you may stop receiving updates, including those of security, at any moment.
