After the announcement of Like a Dragon : They were done at State of Play no one would have expected last night that RGG Studio he would have presented other equally relevant titles at such a short distance. It was therefore certainly a surprise to everyone when today, 14/09/2022, at noon Sega has opened a special event, together with the study of the Rising Sun, with the sole purpose of announcing the new title of the main saga of Yakuza. Yakuza 8, which bears the official title of Like Dragon 8, will then arrive in the homes of gamers a start 2024.
To surprise even more fans of the Japanese saga, however, is the return of some characters from previous titles. To accompany in fact Ichiban Kasuga, Koichi adachi e Yu Nanba, seen in the directly preceding chapter, will also be there Kazuma Kiryu, protagonist of all the Yakuza released before seven. Given the dynamics with which he left the scene, no one would have expected his return which seems to be justified by the spin off title Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, out in 2023.
The game will be released on both the new and the last generation of consoles and also on Steam; it seems that, like the previous chapter, it will still have an RPG combat system and that Kazuma Kiryu will make use of a new fighting style all his. There is still a lot of time left for the release of this title but there are all the conditions for the arrival of a very important title.
