
While playing YouTube videos in browser, users often encounter this error message "Audio renderer error, please restart your computer". If you recently installed an update and changed your audio device, you may see this error.

Method 1: via Device Manager
Step 1: press the Windows key + X together on the keyboard to open the context menu.
Step 2: From the menu select Device administrator.
Step 3: A Device administrator window, scroll down to find Sound, video and game controllers. Click the left arrow to expand the section.
Step 4: Select the default audio output from the list. Here, we select, Realtek High Definition Audio. Now, right click on it and select Disable device in the context menu.
Step 5: Now, right-click the default audio device again and select Enable in the context menu.
Now restart your computer and try to play YouTube videos in your browser again. The audio should now play correctly without errors. If the problem persists, try the second method.
Method 2: through the properties of sound
Step 1: Go to Home button (Windows icon) located at the bottom left of the desktop. Right-click to open the context menu.
Step 2: From the context menu, select run to open the file Run command.
Step 3: Now Write mmsys.cpl in the search box and press Log in to open the file Sound properties dialog.
Step 4: A Sound dialog box below the file Playback Make sure you've set the audio device you want as the default device.
Step 5: Now select the file Registration tab and check if the desired device is set as the default device.
Step 6: If you want to configure any other file Playback o Registration device as the default device, simply select it and press the key Set default towards the bottom of the window.
Step 7: However, if you are still having trouble, select the file Playback o Registration device and left-click on Property button.
Step 8: A Property dialog box, go to Advanced tab and below Default format, set the sampling rate according to the desired quality.
You can press the button Test next to it to check the quality. Once done, press To apply and so ok per salvare I modified it.
That's all. This should resolve the error and you can now play YouTube videos without any problem.
